DON’T LET THE FIRST TIME BE THE ONLY TIME YOU:
WORK ON YOUR AIR CONSUMPTION
REDUCE YOUR WEIGHT, BIT BY BIT

- Share air, donate your octopus
- Remove and replace your mask
- Dump weight at the surface (your own, your buddy’s)
- Find your regulator: ‘reach behind your head method’
WORK ON YOUR AIR CONSUMPTION
- Relax, good trim and buoyancy, correct your kick
- Breath slowly and deeply

- Work on your underwater mobility:
be able to turn your body in any direction to look
- back away from coral
- get to a distant buddy fast
- stay off the bottom, don’t silt up the site
