Overview
Turtle Heaven is located on the northern side of Gili Meno. True to its name, this site is famous for the large number of Green and Hawksbill sea turtles that congregate here to rest on the coral heads and get cleaned by cleaner wrasse.
What you’ll see
The main attraction is the large pinnacle starting around 10 meters deep, which acts as a turtle cleaning station.
- Dozens of Green and Hawksbill turtles resting or swimming lazily.
- Whitetip Reef Sharks resting under table corals in deeper sections.
- Giant Moray Eels hiding in the crevices of the pinnacle.
- Colorful schools of Anthias and Snapper.
The Dive Experience
The dive begins on a gentle slope before reaching the main pinnacle. It is an incredibly relaxing dive perfect for beginners, though advanced divers can explore the deeper slopes. The current is usually mild, allowing for easy navigation and ample time to observe the turtles.
Getting There
Accessible via a short 10-15 minute boat ride from any of the three Gili Islands (Trawangan, Meno, or Air).
